Russian ambassador in Israel meets with Primate of the Church of Jerusalem

On July 22, 2021, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Israel A. D. Viktorov met with His Beatitude Theophilos III, Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine, at the Patriarchal residence in Jerusalem.

Present at the meeting was Archimandrite Alexander (Elisov), head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, and the REM treasurer, Hieromonk Afanasy (Bukin).

The sides discussed topics of church diplomacy nature of mutual concern.
