Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem attends reception given on Russia Day
Federation was given in Tel Aviv. Guests were welcomed by H.E. Anatoly Viktorov, Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the State of Israel.
Honouring the festive evening with their presence were His Beatitude Theophilos III of the Holy City
of Jerusalem and All Palestine, members of the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre, high-ranking
officials and members of the Knesset of the State of Israel, as well as journalists of the Israeli and
Russian mass media, artistic intellectuals, representatives of public organizations, business community
and diplomatic missions.
Attending the reception with the blessing of Archimandrite Alexander (Yelisov), head of the Russian
Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, were his deputy hieromonk Dometian (Markarian) and hegumen
Nikon (Golovko), secretary of the Mission.
