DECR Chairman completes his visit to Czechia

On 16 February 2011, the DECR chairman Metropolitan Hilarion completed his visit to Czechia.

In the morning, Metropolitan Hilarion and His Beatitude Metropolitan Christopher gave a press conference at the “Icon” Orthodox spiritual and cultural centre. The results of the DECR chairman’s visit were summed up, and the prospects of cooperation between the Moscow Patriarchate and the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia in the implementation of various cultural and education projects were presented to the audience.

Metropolitan Hilarion was seen off at the airport by His Beatitude Christopher, Primate of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, clergymen of his Church as well as clergymen of the Moscow Patriarchate serving in Czechia, namely, archpriest Vladimir Abrosimov, rector of the Church of St. George the Victorious at the Embassy of the Russian Federation, and archpriest Nikolai Lischenyuk, rector of the Metochion of the Russian Orthodox Church in Karlovi Vary.

Metropolitan Hilarion paid visits to the USA on February 4-13 and to Czechia on February 14-16 with the assistance of the St. Gregory the Theologian Charity Foundation.
