Clergy and laypeople pay last respects to His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir

On 6 July 2014, Metropolitan Onufry of Chernovtsy and Bukovina, Locum Tenens of the Metropolitan See of Kiev, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Dormition at the Laura of the Caves in Kiev. Concelebrating with him were hierarchs and clergymen of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

During the service, special prayers were said for the rest of the soul of the deceased Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and All Ukraine. The worshippers continue to pay their last respects to the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, whose body had been brought into the Cathedral the day before.

The burial service for His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir will be conducted on July 7, in the square before the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Laura of the Caves in Kiev. He will be buried at the Laura cemetery, near the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God, patriarchia.ru reports, referring to the website of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

The service will begin at 7:00.
