Feast Day of St. Catherine is celebrated at Moscow Representation of Orthodox Church in America

On 6-7 December 2016, with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of All America and Canada, His Eminence Archbishop Benjamin of San Francisco and the West led divine services at the Church of St. Catherine the Great Martyr In-the-Fields, Moscow Representation of the Orthodox Church in America.

Among those who joined His Eminence were Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, Deputy Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations, and clerics of the church. Praying at the sanctuary was Protopresbyter Leonid Kishkovsky, an interim representative of the Orthodox Church in America to the Moscow Patriarchate.
Feast Day of Representation was also attended by the Revd. Clive Fairclough, dean of the Anglican Church of St. Andrew in Moscow.

Doxology was celebrated before the icon of St. Catherine after the liturgy.

Archpriest Balashov greeted Archbishop Benjamin on behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. Archbishop Benjamin thanked the Russian Orthodox Church for support of the mission of the Orthodox Church in America. He also thanked the clergy, choir and parishioners for common prayer and congratulated those celebrating their name day. All worshippers received small icons of St. Sebastian (Dabovich), a Serb, who worked at the Russian mission in North America and has been recently canonized by the Serbian Orthodox Church.
