Patriarch Kirill’s condolences over the death of people in car crash in southeast Germany
In connection with the death of people in a car crash in southeast Germany, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia extended condolences to Germany’s Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel. Eighteen people died in the car accident on July 3, 2017, in Upper Franconia in Bavaria.
Your Excellency
Esteemed Ms. Federal Chancellor,
With grief I have taken the report about the car crash which happened in Upper Franconia and in which 18 people died. Please accept my sincere condolences.
The Russian Orthodox Church expresses compassion and support to you and to all the German people. I hope that the German authorities, rescuers and medics will do all that is possible to help those have been affected by this misfortune.
May the Merciful Lord send courage, patience and His beneficial help to all those who have been affected and give consolation to those who have lost their relatives and loved ones in this tragedy.
