Commission for the Affairs of Old Believers' Parishes and Interaction with Old Believers
The Commission for Old Believers' Affairs and Interrelationship with Old Believers was created within the Department of External Church Relations based on the Decision of the Council of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church (October 3 - 8, 2004) "On the Relationship with Old Believers and Old Believers' Parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church". According to the Clause 3.1 of the Regulations of the Commission (approved by the Holy Synod, magazine No. 62, July 16, 2005) the members of the Commission and its chairperson are appointed by His Holiness the Patriarch and the Holy Synod.
