Parishioners of the churches in the Novocherkassk Deanery of the Rostov-on-Don Diocese have collected humanitarian aid for the affected residents of the Kursk region, including blankets, pillows, mattresses, clothing, food, and drinking water. This humanitarian cargo will soon be sent to Kursk, reports the diakonia.ru website.

On August 27th, 615 people (196 families) sought assistance at the Church's comprehensive social assistance center in the Holy Trinity Monastery in Kursk. Many of those seeking help are inquiring about housing. The center provided targeted assistance to refugees at the temporary accommodation center in the village of Poniry.
The center received 24 tons of humanitarian aid from the Tver Diocese (household chemicals, food, diapers, bedding, pillows, blankets), 3 tons from the Orthodox Mercy Service of Yekaterinburg (bedding, pillows, blankets, inflatable mattresses, household chemicals, food), and 300 hygiene kits and baby food from the church in honor of St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki in Kursk.
Throughout the day, 34 volunteers had assisted at the center.

Since August 7th, there have been 658 calls (13 on August 27th) on the hotline of the Synodal Department for Charity at 8-800-70-70-222 from the Kursk region.

544 people (181 families) from the Kursk region and 14 people (5 families) from the Belgorod region have contacted the Moscow Refugee Assistance Headquarters at the Synodal Department for Charity since August 6th.
Since August 6th, 1,277 deliveries of assistance have been received at the Moscow Headquarters from churches, monasteries, and concerned citizens of Moscow.
On August 27th, nine people (6 families) from the Kursk region sought help at the Moscow Refugee Assistance Headquarters. Compared to the previous day, the number of families seeking assistance remained the same, as almost all had gone to relatives or acquaintances. One family received help in finding housing. All families who sought help received humanitarian aid (food, hygiene products, household chemicals). Additionally, bed linen, blankets, and dishes were provided to refugees upon request.

Since August 6th, 185 people from the Kursk region have sought help at the church headquarters for refugees in Belgorod, located in the Marfo-Mariinsky Monastery.
On August 27th, 79 families sought assistance at the church headquarters in Belgorod. Another 2 families contacted the headquarters via the hotline. A total of 188 people received humanitarian aid (food, hygiene products, bedding, pillows, blankets, clothing): 127 from Belgorod region and neighboring areas, 29 from the Kharkov direction, 25 from the Kursk region, and 7 from the Donetsk People's Republic, Lugansk People's Republic, and Ukraine.

On a single day, 1,162 people received assistance at the humanitarian aid center of the Youth Department of the Kursk Diocese. The center received 5 shipments of humanitarian aid. Throughout the day, 72 volunteers had assisted at the center.

Agreements have been reached between the Synodal Department for Charity and the charity fund "Old Age in Joy" («Старость в радость») for joint cooperation in assisting lonely elderly people and individuals with disabilities in temporary accommodation centers in the Kursk region.
