The work of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church prohibited in Bogorodchany, Ivano-Frankovsk region
DECR Communication Service, 26.05.2022.
On May 23, 2022, the head of the Bogorodchany District, Ivano-Frankovsk Region, Rostislav Zaremba reported on his page in Facebook that the local communion deputies in the urban-type settlement Bogorodchany made a decision to prohibit the work of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the district. This decision had been unanimously voted for at a session of the Bogorodchany Settlement Council.
“We have decided to prohibit the work of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the territory of our community and the work of those who are collaborators and who justify the criminal aggression against the Ukrainian people’, Zaremba stressed.
In addition, the head of the Bogorodchany District stated that he ‘held an educational, not quite politically correct, talk with refugees who will have to leave the region if they will not appreciate the care and support’ of the local authorities, reports the Union of Orthodox Journalists.
