Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk visits Exarchate of the Orthodox Church of Jerusalem in Cyprus

On May 12, 2022, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, currently taking part in the Inter-Orthodox Pre-Assembly of the World Council of Churches with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, met with Metropolitan Timotheos of Bostra, Orthodox Church of Jerusalem, Exarch of the All Holy Sepulchre in Cyprus.
The meeting of the hierarchs was held in a warm fraternal atmosphere at the Exarchate in Nicosia. They discussed issues pertaining to relations between the Orthodox Church of Jerusalem and the Russian Orthodox Church and the current situation in the Orthodox world.
The DECR chairman told Metropolitan Timotheos about the work of the Inter-Orthodox Pre-Assembly of the WCC and about his today’s meeting with the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Cyprus, His Beatitude Chrysostomos II, Archbishop of New Justiniana and All Cyprus.
