Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and All Ukraine meets with US ambassador to Ukraine

On September 1, 2010, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church received United States Ambassador to Ukraine, H. E. John Tefft, in his residence at the Kiev Laura of the Caves.

In their talk, Metropolitan Vladimir informed Mr. John Tefft about the Orthodox life in Ukraine today and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s relations with Local Orthodox Churches and traditional religious confessions, the official website of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has reported.

The US ambassador, on his part, informed His Beatitude Vladimir about the exhibition on Chicago’s architecture organized in his residence. He noted that some of the exposition presents the architecture of Orthodox churches in the city.

Metropolitan Vladimir and Ambassador Tefft also discussed a possibility for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Orthodox Church in America to undertake joint projects.
