Delegation of Ukrainian Orthodox Church led by Metropolitan Vladimir to Holy Land

A delegation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and All Ukraine arrived to the Holy Land on September 6, 2010. The delegation includes Archbishop Luka of Konotop and Glukhov, Archbishop Feodor of Mukachevo and Uzhgorod, Bishop Nikodim of Vladimir-Volynsky and Kovel, Bishop Vladimir of Shepetovka and Slavut, Bishop Ilary of Makarov, and Bishop Alexander of Pereyslavl-Khmelnitsky.
The pilgrim group visited the St. Mary Magdalene Church Representation in Tiberias, the church of the Bread and Fish in Tabgha, the church of the Twelve Apostles in Capernaum, and visited Nazareth and Cana of Galilee, the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem has reported.
On September 7, Metropolitan Vladimir and his party and numerous pilgrims went to holy Mount Tabor and celebrated the Divine Liturgy. On the same day, the pilgrims went to the Jordan River where Metropolitan Vladimir said the office of the blessing of water.
The pilgrims will also visit the church of the Resurrection in Bethlehem, the monastery of St. Theodosius the Great, the monastery of St. Sabbas the Sanctified, the Russian Church Mission in Hebron and the Mount of Olives.
