His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, has greeted the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Antioch on the day of his heavenly patron – St. John the Theologian.
Speaking at a brotherly repast which followed the divine service His Holiness expressed his joy over the decision taken the day before concerning the return of the Western European parishes of Russian tradition to the bosom of the Russian Orthodox Church.
His Holiness told Archbishop Ioann that the Holy Synod considered his request to join the Moscow Patriarchate together with clergy and parishes who wish to follow him and informed him about the decision.
On 12th September 2019, at the Patriarchal and Synodal Residence in St. Daniel’s Stavropegic Monastery in Moscow, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia met with Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Warsaw, who had arrived in Moscow on an unofficial visit.

On 28th August 2019, Feast Day of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, participants in the Summer Institute for representatives of the Roman Catholic Church attended the Divine Liturgy celebrated by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia at the Dormition Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin.
On 25 July 2019, session of the Supreme Church Council of the Russian Orthodox Church took place in the Supreme Church Council’s Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour under chairmanship of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
