Paper presented by Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk at St Vladimir's Theological Seminary on 8 November 2014 on the occasion of conferring an honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity.
They discussed problems involved in the inter-Orthodox relations and bilateral cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Orthodox Church in America.
Welcoming the participants in the forum, Mr. Franklin Graham noted the Billy Graham Association’s long relations with the Russian Orthodox Church, recalling numerous visits made by his father to the Soviet Union, the first one as far back as 1959.

After the Litany of Fervent Supplication, Metropolitan Hilarion read prayer for peace in Ukraine. Magnification to the ‘Joy of All the Afflicted,’ was celebrated.

On 4 November 2014, Patriarch Tawadros II of the Coptic Church completed his visit to Russia. On his last day in Moscow, His Holiness Patriarch Tawadros visited the Representation of the Orthodox Church of Antioch in Moscow.
The delegation proceeded to the Novodevichy Convent and met with Metropolitan Varsonofy of St. Petersburg and Lagoda. The Primate of the Coptic Church noted that he was happy to visit St. Petersburg for the first time and thanked the Metropolitan and the sisters for hospitality.
Concelebrating were Archbishop Juraj of Michalovce and Košice, Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, archimandrite Seraphim (Shemyatovsky), representative of this Church to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, and clerics of the church in Bolshaya Ordynka.
