On 9 February 2018, the delegation of the Interreligious working group of Russia’s Presidental Council for Cooperation with Religious Organizations completed its visit to Syria and Lebanon.
The visit of the interreligious delegation from Russia has attracted a broad attention of the Arab mass media. It members gave numerous interviews in intervals between meetings and held briefings to inform the mass media about the aims and tasks of their visit.

On 21 December 2017, an international forum entitled “2017 – Year of Islamic Solidarity: Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue” took place in the capital of Azerbaijan. The meeting was organized by the Caucasus Muslims Board with the assistance of the authorities of Azerbaijan.
The participants in the meeting discussed cooperation between the Interreligious working group and the Ministry of Awqaf of the Syrian Arab Republic.
