Patriarch Kirill sends congratulations to Archbishop Rostislav of Presov elected Primate of the Orthodox Church of Czech Lands and Slovakia
On January 11, 2014, the Local Council which took place in Presov elected Archbishop Rostoslav of Presov as Metropolitan of the Czech Lands and Slovakia by a huge majority.

I cordially congratulate you on your election to the Throne of the Primate of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia.
May God’s grace accompany your future primatial work and help you to carry the heavy cross of primatial service and to proclaim boldly the mystery of the gospel (cf. Eph. 6:19), bearing witness to the truth of holy Orthodox faith.
May Christ the Divine Chief Pastor send you good health and plenitude of spiritual gifts so that you, strengthened with all power (cf. 1:11), may in peace and love nourish the people of God in the Czech Lands and Slovakia in the bounds sanctified by preaching of the gospel by Ss Cyril and Methodius, Teachers of the Slavs, Equal to the Apostles.
