Patriarch Kirill sends birthday message to head of Armenian Apostolic Church
On the occasion of the 60th birthday of Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, Patriarch Kirill sent him the following message:

Supreme Patriarch and Catholics of All Armenians
Your Holiness, dear Brother beloved in Christ,
On your 60th birthday I am sending you cordial congratulations and wishes of peace, good health and long life.
During your service at the high and important position of Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church, her spiritual revival has got going in full force as new dioceses have been established throughout the world, churches have been erected, the theological education system has been improved and the social and charitable work has been developed. Your Church occupies today a prominent place in the world Christian community and takes and active part in interreligious dialogue, bearing witness to the old and rich tradition which has been formed for almost two thousand years.
The rise of the Armenian Apostolic Church under your guidance is also marked by her comprehensive relations with the Russian Orthodox Church – a concern to which you have given special attention. I am confident that dialogue and cooperation between our two Churches will continue developing fruitfully thus making a weighty contribution to the strengthening of age-old friendship between the peoples of Russia and Armenia.
I prayerfully wish you abundant help from the Good and Almighty Lord. May His blessing stay with your millions-strong flock both in your homeland and in the diaspora. Many and good years be to you!
