A long-abandoned Orthodox church consecrated at the Russian Consulate’s summer residence in Buyukdere near Istanbul
The Primates of the Orthodox Churches of Constantinople and Russian conducted the lesser consecration of Sts Constantine and Helen Church at the Russian General Consulate’s summer residence in Buyukdere near Istanbul on July 6, 2009.
The choir of Moscow’s Sretensky Monastery sang during the service. The lesser consecration of this domestic chapel of the Russian Consulate was attended by Russian Ambassador V. Ivanovsky, Russian General Consul A. Krivenko, diplomats accredited in Istanbul and the consulate staff.
