Hierarchs of two Churches attended the 15th anniversary of the parish in Schweinfurt, Germany

On November 18, Archbishop Tikhon of Ruza, administrator of the Diocese of Berlin and Germany of the Russian Orthodox Church, and Archbishop Michael of Prague and the Czech Lands (Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia) celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Parish of the Nativity of St. John the Precursor in Schweinfurt, Germany. That day marked the 15th anniversary of the foundation of the parish.
Concelebrating were an assembly of the clergy including guests from various cities in Germany, including the Czech Lands and Slovakia, Bavaria-Hessen church district, Diocese of Berlin and Germany, Wurzburg, Bayreuth, the Russian Church Abroad in Bad Kissingen, and Bamberg.
After the Prayer of Fervent Supplication, prayers for peace were lifted up.
After the Liturgy, His Eminence Tikhon addressed the congregation. The ruling bishop welcomed Archbishop Michael of Prague who had been the first rector of the parish in Schweinfurt.
In his response, His Eminence Michael thanked Archbishop Tikhon of Ruza for the joy of common prayer and presented him with a cross and a pectoral cross as a token of the event, reports the website of the Diocese of Berlin and Germany.
