Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church expresses his condolences over tragedy in Slovakia
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia expressed the following condolences to the President of Slovakia Ivan Gašparovič upon the tragic death of innocent people in Bratislava on 30 August 2010.
Your Excellency:
My heart pained when I learned of a tragic incident in Bratislava leaving innocent people dead and injured, including women and children. I offer my sincere condolences to you, the inhabitants of Bratislava and all people of Slovakia.
I pray, together with the believers of the Russian Orthodox Church, for the rest of the victims' souls and for spiritual strength of those who lost their near and dear ones and for a speedy recovery of the injured.
May the All-Merciful Lord give solace to all the afflicted.
